I'm baaaack!! And I am so excited for this collaboration I get to share with you guys. Some people say talking about underwear is taboo right? Well that's what we're about to discuss. I think it's fair to say that for many of us ladies, the modern day bralette trend is not the most boob friendly option. Well girls, and your girls, Madalynne just changed the game for us. The Nina set is perfect for gals of all shapes and sizes. The bralette is high neck, racerback and long enough to keep everyone secure while still feeling sexy. And the matching undies are high waisted with a high enough cut on your bum that you feel comfortable but still show a little skin. Did I mention you can get this set at Anthropologie now?! I think that makes Maddie one of the coolest panty-making chicks in the city of Brotherly Love.
Along with the product shots we made for Maddie's website, we did some styled shoots. For the first one, I wore the Nina bralette in white as a crop top. I paired it with my favorite vintage men's Levi's that I added some patches to. I've seen so many girls wearing bralettes as tops but they would just not work for me, and most girls with a larger bra size. But the Nina is not like most bralettes. I can wear it with high waisted jeans and not feel naked, or outright feel like I'm wearing lingerie as my one and only top.
For the next style, we kept the Nina set simple with a pair of knee high white socks. Maddie had the most beautiful Anthro coverlet and cowhide rug we staged along with a beautiful white Crosley record player. Also, can we just take a quick moment of appreciation for how beautiful this studio space is?! Install this rustic white barn door in my apartment, stat. ;)
This was possibly my favorite look of the day. It's already cold here in Philly, so any chance I get to wear these insanely soft and warm sweatpants, I will take it. I've also been l-o-v-i-n-g the trend of girls showing their fishnet band over the top of their jeans with a crop top. The Nina set adds that cool girl element with a touch of grace.
I've been so MIA lately partly because of school, but also because I'm an intern with Wolven Threads! The Nina bralette is so insanely comfortable that you could 100% wear it to your yoga class. So naturally I had to combine my two favorite female-founded small businesses together for this shoot! I appreciate a women's hustle and both Maddie and Kiran are serious inspirations to me on the daily.
The final look included the Nina set in black with this great sheer black maxi dress and some seriously rad natural light. Have I mentioned I love this studio? I'd move in if the heat was just cranked up a littleee warmer. Anyways, I would never consider my style conservative. But the thought of wearing a sheer dress with just my intimates seemed way to out there for me. This intimates set has my mind changed though! The high neck and high waist cover everything you would want to hide and still allows you to play with the new sheer trend.
